📝 Step-by-Step Instructions:

1. Go to Your Draft Course

  • From your Instructor Dashboard, select the course you created in Lesson 4.

  • Click Edit Course to begin adding content.

2. Add a New Lesson

  • Scroll to the Course Builder section.

  • Click “Add New Lesson” and enter a lesson title (e.g., “Introduction to Soul Mapping”).

  • Use the Lesson Content Editor to write or paste your lesson text, embed media, and format the lesson layout.

  • You can also schedule lessons to be released on specific dates if your course is drip-fed.

3. Uploading Videos (Highly Recommended: YouTube)

  • You have three options:
    YouTube (Recommended)
    ✅ Vimeo
    ✅ Direct MP4 upload (not advised unless video is small)

🌐 Why You Should Use YouTube (or Vimeo):

Hosting videos externally (like YouTube or Vimeo) keeps your website fast and smooth. Large videos slow down your platform, increase hosting costs, and frustrate learners with loading issues.
Upload to YouTube (unlisted mode if you want privacy) and simply paste the YouTube link inside the lesson editor. The video will embed automatically.

🔁 How to Embed a Video:
  • Upload the video to YouTube

  • Copy the video URL

  • Paste it in the lesson content box

  • It will instantly turn into an embedded player

Bonus Tip: You can even write some text before or after the video, like:

“Watch the video above, then complete the reflection task below.”

4. Adding Downloadable Files

  • Scroll down to the “Lesson Attachments” section.

  • Click Upload File, then select any PDFs, Word docs, or PowerPoint slides you want students to download.

  • Files should be relevant, clear, and titled professionally.
    Example: “Lesson 1 – Soul Mapping Workbook.pdf”


💡 Pro Tips:

  • Always include 1 video + 1 resource file per lesson to maximize engagement.

  • Use Canva or Google Docs to make your PDFs visually attractive and easy to read.

  • Keep videos under 15 minutes to maintain attention and prevent fatigue.

  • Group lessons into Sections or Modules if your course is long — it helps organize better.

Q: Can I use my phone to record videos?
✔ Yes, just ensure clear audio and stable lighting. You don’t need fancy equipment to start.

Q: What if I want to protect my video from being shared publicly?
✔ Upload it as Unlisted on YouTube. Only those with the link can view it — and it won’t appear in search results.

Q: Can students download my videos?
✔ Not from the platform. Embedding from YouTube also protects your videos from easy downloads.

Q: Can I add multiple videos in one lesson?
✔ Yes, but be sure they serve one clear purpose together. It’s better to split long content into several short lessons.
